Before she knows it, he’s already returned to earth with his memory of the afterlife wiped away.

Review:
My new favourite rom-com! I picked up this book on a whim and it was more than I could have hoped for. A truly hilarious and charming story that made me want to go back and read it all over again.
Delphie’s loner tendencies were something that I 100% relate to. I enjoy having a little me time… okay a lot of me time, I found it helps me distress and reset which makes me a way happier person to be around. However, that is not the case for our main protagonist. To avoid her fear of getting hurt, Delphie has chosen to live a ridged life of solitude. Besides her regular visits with her elderly neighbour Mr Yoon (hands down my favourite character), with no plans to make friends, and family that live abroad she has successfully managed to live her life completely on her own. That is until she returns from the dead on a quest to find the man who could be her soulmate.
The best part about this book was seeing Delphie transform from a loner to being surrounded by loved ones. From new friends to old ones that went unnoticed, she starts to lower her guard and before she knows it, she’s surrounded by people who love and cherish her. Reading how she confronts her past traumas as she begins to accept the love in her life was exceptionally touching. Kirsty Greenwood absolutely smashed it, the found family trope was written beautifully and would surely melt your heart like It did mine.
Another major highlight was the comedy! I cannot express enough how hysterically funny this book was. I couldn’t stop laughing even if I wanted to, the highly embarrassing and troubling situations that Delphi finds herself in will have you in stitches. As a London girl, I appreciated the quirky British humour that reminded me of the iconic popularised Bridget Jones movies.
Final Thoughts
This book is a fantastic rom-com with a sweet romance wrapped in laughter, love and self-growth. A perfect feel-good read for those looking for a light-hearted, highly entertaining story to sink their teeth into!
